Baptism in Kherlen River

Selenge was baptized in the Kherlen River on Oct 2, 2010.
The water at the Church was the color of mud, for some reason.
The baptism was going to be canceled,
but one of the missionaries got the idea of doing it in the river.
The Branch President approved it, so at dusk we all walk down to the river.
It is about a 5 minute walk in back of the Church house.

Selenge with her husband and little girl.
Sisters' Baasanjav and Battsetseg, taught her.
Elder Sarangerel did the baptizing.

This is the first baptism done in the river since 2005, when the Chapel was built.
This might be the only one we see in the river.
It was a little cold, but it was a very nice baptism.
Selenge is probably in her early 30's with 3 little children,
2 of them are twin boys, about a year old.
The missionaries asked Dad to give a talk on receiving the Holy Ghost, he did a good job.
Like the Savior said in Matthew...
Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am also.
It was a wonderful evening and the Spirit was there!
We love each of you and so grateful for our membership in the Church.
People are amazed that we have 8 children and that all 8 are active in the Church,
and have been to the Temple!
We are so blessed!
We are so grateful for you and your wonderful examples to us!
We love each of you!!

Exciting times! That is great news! Tell Sis Baa... hi for me. I did get your note about the package so I'm glad it is finally in Mongolia. That would have been cool to have a baptism in the river. Love you and take care.
